    Pros +

    • Cool interior design, friendly and helpful staff. Overall, an excellent stay!
    • In general the place felt luxurious. Loved the room layout and color scheme. Very very clean. Everything was well thought of!
    • Great quiet location with subway on the corners. Staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Loved the Happy Hour which we did partake in almost every night and once enjoyed the pastries and tea offered from 2-5 every day. Our room was big , clean and bright. Stayed here 6 nights. Highly recommend. Plenty of restaurants and a huge beautiful super marketjust down the street and a tiny French bakery. Also a large bakery practically across the street from the French one.

    Cons -

    • Expected more from the lounge food. Felt that it did not have enough for guests . It had to be replenished and guests had to wait. Not much choices either.
    • Only thing we disliked was the automatic light that comes on when you open the bathroom door. Way too bright at night. It’s pretty shocking when you get up in the middle of the night. Hard to get back to sleep. Would have liked to dismantle it!!!
    • Lounge rules on amount of food dishes was not flexible enough and was hoping there would be a swimming pool, but I can’t fault the hotel for that; if it were really important i could have researched it and selected another hotel.

The hotel breakfast was lovely with fine selections and very friendly staff. We also wanted to experience a Kaiseki dinner while in Kyoto. The front desk helped us to recommend and make reservation in an excellent establishment. We are truly enjoyed it and wish to thank Momoe and all the front desk team for making this possible in a short notice. The lounge was a big plus to the value.

Clean, good location, helpful staff in answering questions on efficient transportation options and coordinating taxis in some cases.

Breakfast on the facility was expensive. Only delta. Lounge was great! Staff amazing! City is clean. Temples breathtaking. Hotel super quiet and beds are comfortable.

We had a lovely view from our room which was spacious and nicely decorated. The personal effects such as hair brush, face cloths , toothbrushes etc were really appreciated . The oinsen was beautiful and relaxing - loved it and the facilities.

The hotel was modern and close to transport and restaurants including markets and historic attractions.

All was good so I don’t know what could have been done any better.

The staff was truly excellent and the room sizes were great especially for Japan. The location was perfect as we were able to walk or take the subway everywhere we needed to go. Over the course of the trip we remarked multiple times how much we enjoyed the location. I'm actually a Platinum Elite with Marriott but chose this hotel for the Kyoto part of our trip and would stay here again if given the opportunity. They also have a great second story lounge with complimentary snacks and drinks daily. It is well appointed with an indoor fireplace and windows overlooking the street that was a great place to cool down each day.

The mattress was a little firm for my taste but different folks will have different preferences here.

Large and very comfortable rooms. The staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Great location. For those requiring hypo-allergenic bedding the hotel will ensure that the room is equipped with proper bedding for those will allergy to Feather/down bedding.

    Everything was great!!!

Our rooms were amazing- spacious, comfortable, luxurious and beautiful views! The location was perfect as we walked to so many of our top spots and restaurants. LOVED the happy hour and worth the price to pay for lounge access. This is a lovely hotel!

Although this is a lovely hotel- as others have shared this is not a 5 star experience- no coffee available to enjoy in the morning, no spa or fitness area, no concierge, bellman or help with luggage. (These were all fine with us for this trip.) The hotel will not allow guests in the lounge to grab a drink - even after you check in and have lounge access if it is before 3 or 4 pm. I felt bad that they turned a couple away when they only wanted to grab a coke. I agreed with others that 5 star hotels would not do that to their guests. Yet I would return and I would have greatly appreciated a hot coffee each morning, and a breakfast option that is not a buffet.

Super spacious, the hot spring bath downstairs is awesome, the lounge is amazing, the room is so well designed and well maintained and being so close to subway and everything else. I would stay here again!

Wow, this beautiful hotel was amazing - we absolutely loved the comfortable bedding on our HUGE bed. The bathroom/vanity/shower area was very nice, and the room was spacious. We really enjoyed the guest happy hour with full bar and elevated snack selection, perfect for after walking around all day.

    We loved it all!

-The location was good-The size of the room was good for 3 persons-the furniture is modern

-The only thing that I didn’t like was the extra-bed that was provided by the hotel which was small and not comfortable at all.

    9MarkPosted on: 11-29-2025

Room was comfortable and of good size with all that we needed.Check in was fast and friendly, and appreciated since we were very tired from a long travel day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility was well appointed, classy and modern. Everything worked well and made our stay very nice!

Breakfast buffet could have been better with more non-dairy choices on menu.A lack of exercise facilities was missed opportunity to exceed my needs. The included Lounge sweet treat eaxh afternoon again missed the mark as there were no alternatives with a non-dairy focus. That was disappointing during our week long stay.

Breakfast was tasty but not too much selection.

Our room faced the street and it was quite noisy with motorcycles and emergency vehicles going by with sirens. Also, the dryer in the laundry room never actually dried our clothes even after 3 dry cycles. Had we known that, we would never have washed them. Had to pack wet clothes to our next destination. Our room when we first checked in was very small. We paid an extra $40 to upgrade to a bigger room but was worth it.

Good location, next to metro stop. Good shower, comfy bed, quiet.

The room I got did not feel like the room I booked. It was cramped and poorly organized and the view was of another building. The lounge access is nice but does not open for breakfast. Coffee in the morning would have been greatly appreciated.

Rooms were large and very comfortable beds. They had an optional daily lounge access that we chose to utilize which was amazing! Desserts and tea/ coffee from 2:00-5:00 every day and a “free” happy hour from 5:00-8:00 as well. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Cannot say enough good things about them! Over the top amazing!
